Your Osteopathic Treatment

Burwarton Osteopathy And Sports Clinic

When you come to the clinic you’ll be asked a number of questions about yourself so that we can build up the picture about.possible causes of your pain We need to understand not only reason why you have come to us but also your medical history, general health leisure activities and day-to-day routine. By listening carefully we will hopefully be able to develop an insight into why the injury has occurred and the best course of action. On occasions the same injury can be treated in two different ways depending on the individual and this is what we need to assess.

During the consultation you’ll be asked to perform a number of movements to see how your body moves and assess any restrictions. Following this I will discuss my findings with you and work out a treatment plan that’s not any best for you and also cost-effective

I believe a hands-on approach is the best with a number of musculoskeletal injuries however these may vary according to the injury and age of the individual. We use massage techniques manipulation exercises economic advice and in some instances electrotherapy for specific injuries such as tendinitis on the ligament injuries.

30 years experience as an osteopath has made me  realise that an injury can often be treated in a number of different ways gaining the same results.

Treatments may also include ergonomic advice  on work postures beneficial to your injury and exercises to gain mobility or strength.
